My professional journey has always been rooted in purpose. From the very beginning, I’ve been driven by a passion to uplift small and medium enterprises—those unsung heroes of every economy.
It all started in Kuwait, at Global Advertising, where I cut my teeth in the world of telemarketing and consumer engagement. We weren’t just selling membership cards; we were building bridges between consumers and SMEs across the GCC. That experience gave me more than just a job—it gave me a network, a deep understanding of merchant dynamics, and a front-row seat to the challenges and triumphs of small businesses.
Then came a pivotal moment: National Bank of Kuwait approached us to support their credit card telemarketing campaign. What began as a project turned into a career shift. I joined NBK’s Retail Division, where I managed their Merchant Acquiring Business and led SME-focused loyalty programs. It was here that I truly began to understand the power of financial inclusion and digital payments in transforming the SME landscape.
My next chapter unfolded at Ahli United Bank, where I was entrusted with growing their Retail Cards business. Over the span of 25+ years, I found myself at the heart of a vibrant ecosystem—working with merchants, consumers, payment service providers, and SMEs. Every role, every challenge, and every partnership deepened my commitment to creating meaningful impact.
